Salome Papadopoullos is an artist and illustrator based in London. Salome studied illustration at Middlesex University, graduating in 2015 with a first. Working primarily with gouache and pencil, taking inspiration from art history her work uses traditional techniques.

Themes of mythology, romance and nostalgia play an important role in Salome’s work, combined with her interest in antiques, trinkets and miniatures, which plays on art as sentimental keepsakes. Salome often juxtaposes these kinds of traditional imagery with tongue in cheek humour.
